Welcome to our class. We hope you enjoy finding out about some of the work we do in The Squirrels class.... And some of the fun too!!
Mrs Beattie will be teaching Wednesday to Friday and Mrs Dorrian will teach Monday and Tuesday.

Donkey Therapy
We were delighted to meet Dolly the donkey. She will be visiting us over the coming weeks as we learn about donkeys and how to care for them.
The Foxes class have done a whole course about donkeys and they are going to help us when Dolly is visiting.
Dolly the Donkey comes to Downpatrick PS!
The Hedgehogs, Owls and Squirrels classes had a great time meeting Dolly as she came for her first visit to the school. The Foxes had a super series of Equine Facilitated Learning in Term 1, where they learned all about caring for donkeys and about their health and diet. Through Equine Facilitated Learning, children get the opportunity to learn new skills, improving social communication skills, teamwork, confidence and empathy. Some Foxes were on hand to help the younger children during Dolly’s visit. She will be back each week for the next few weeks so the younger children will get to know her well and learn all about donkeys and how good they can be as friends to us humans.
