Cross-Country Squad
Our Cross-Country team take part in a range of inter-school competitions through the year. The main league event is the Athletics NI - Flavahan’s Cross-Country Primary School XC League.
Round 3 - Downpatrick
The Downpatrick Primary School Cross-Country Team had another great morning at Dunleath Park in Downpatrick as they took part in the Athletics NI Flavahan’s Cross-Country Primary School XC League Round Three
Round 2 - Newcastle
The Downpatrick Primary School Cross-Country Team had another great morning at Donard Park in Newcastle as they took part in the Athletics NI Flavahan’s Cross-Country Primary School XC League Round Two.
There were a lot of schools from across Co. Down there with a large contingent of boys and girls taking part in a Fun Run as well as two girls’ and two boys’ races. Our team did really well with one of our girls claiming a brilliant bronze medal in her race.
It was a beautiful, sunny, and cold morning and everyone put in super performances and showed exemplary behaviour as always. Thanks must go to Mrs Thompson who organised and coached the team as well as driving them to the event on her day off! Thanks also Dr and Mrs Keown who came along to support the team and help with transport. The morning was rounded off with hot chocolate and doughnuts!

Round 1 - Newtownards
We were delighted that one of our girls had a PODIUM FINISH when she won a BRONZE MEDAL in her race! So her medal was presented at a special ceremony at the end!
