World Book Day
As part of our brilliant Book Week the school had a special Fancy Dress Competition. The children could decide to come dressed up as a hero or a villain from one of their favourite books!
Thanks must go to our parents for the brilliant costumes that they made for the day. We must also thank two members of our Board of Governors who gave up their Thursday morning to come into school to judge the costumes, Mrs Elsie Storey and Mrs Alison Carson. It was a very difficult job as the standard and the imagination on display was top of the class. Our Thanks must also go to Miss Bates and the Literacy team for their efforts all throughout Book Week.
These events for the pupils don’t just happen - they require a lot of planning and hard work.
Thanks too to the staff for the super costumes they wore as well. We hope seeing all the amazing characters encourages all our children to keep reading!

Our Booky Breakfast
We had a fantastic turn out of parents and children to our Booky Breakfast. The Literacy team helped set it all up and Catriona in the Kitchen was very kind in helping with the Bacon Butties. There was tea / coffee and juice for the children. The smell of the food was amazing and everyone had books to read on the tables. Thank you to everyone for supporting the event and also thank you to everyone who helped especially Miss Bates who organised the event as well as all of Book Week.
Mr Hullabaloo comes to visit!
We were delighted to welcome an old favourite back to school on the first day of Book Week. Mr Hullabaloo's Musical Theatre with lots of fun, songs and puppets to show us how to be thoughtful, kind and caring.
