School Charity Sponsored Walk for Angel Wishes
Angel Wishes – Whole School Charity Walk – 4 May 2018 @ Tollymore Forest Park
You may be aware that one of our P7 pupils is undergoing chemotherapy treatment at the moment. He has been off school since Christmas and his classmates and the wider school have been supporting him as he bravely copes with his illness.
The children and the staff wish to show our support for him and his family, including his brother in P5, and so we have decided to do a whole-school Sponsored Walk for a charity called Angel Wishes.
This charity works to provide children suffering from illness with the chance to do activities or experiences which will help to brighten the difficult days they face during their treatment.
On The Day
The school community, pupils and staff did a range of three walks round Tollymore Forest Park on Friday 4 May 2018.
The walks suited the age-range of the pupils.
The school were transported by bus to/from Tollymore and as well as the walk the children had the chance to play games and other activities. We returned to school for 3pm.
IT WAS A BRILLIANT DAY!
