After School Clubs
Our Clubs are taken in 6 week blocks by the teaching staff and other providers.
STEM club met again this week to use their science, technology, engineering and mathematical skills to solve a problem. We were thinking about Rapunzel being trapped in a tower until she was finally freed. We decided to make a tower that Rapunzel could trap the evil witch inside, to teach her a lesson. We looked at some other towers found in real life, the Eiffel tower and the Leaning Tower of Pisa. We planned a design on our whiteboards and then used mallows and sticks to construct our towers. They had to be freestanding. We learned that triangles were the strongest shapes to make.
Crochet Club
We were learning how to chain stitch and then learning to double crochet into our chain stitch.
We are hoping to make a rabbit by the end of our six weeks.
Our girls are working very hard and loving their new skill.
